Collegium Stivinum is a chamber orchestra founded in 2019 by double bassist, conductor, and composer Indi Stivín. Originally focused on works for solo double bass and premieres of contemporary compositions, the ensemble has since expanded its repertoire to include orchestral works and concertos for various solo instruments.

 

The orchestra has performed at numerous prestigious international festivals, including Viva Musica! in Bratislava, the Opera Music Theatre Festival in Prague, and the International Music Festival of F. L. Věk . In December 2024, Collegium Stivinum appeared in the Czech Television Christmas Concert, broadcast from the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.

 

The members of Collegium Stivinum are laureates of major performance competitions. Under the artistic direction of Indi Stivín, they form a unique ensemble dedicated to bringing classical music to a wide audience.
